What Does It Mean To Truly Love Another?

I decided to talk a little about Dear John, but I have been here for a while trying to figure out how I can start. I totally love Nicholas' love stories; Even I just read A Walk to Remember, A Bend In The Road and The Last Song. I can totally say he's such a genius writer. 

"the saddest people I've ever met in life are the ones who don't care deeply about anything at all. Passion and satisfaction go hand in hand, and without them, any happiness is only temporary, because there's nothing to make it last."

Of course we always want the happy end, just like a fairytale. However, changing the end would sacrifice everything Nicholas wants to bring us throught the book. By the way the happy end would make the book so cliché, and maybe out of the reality.

Dear Jonh is one of the beautiful stories I have read and probably many people just couldn't get the whole meaning just because John and Savannah followed different ways, but the main message is so powerful and nobody can deny. Sometimes a reciprocal love can be so hard... So try to imagine an unconditional love? Of course the book talks about many other subjects... All of them are so intense.

Dear John will make you cry, love, learn, understand... You definitely should read this book when you get a chance.
